Marissa Rodriguez is a yoga teacher who truly understands what it means to dedicate yourself to a practice to improve physical, mental and emotional health. She has lived with rheumatoid arthritis her entire life, but that never held her back from competing in the sports she loved, even when her pain moved her from hard court sports like volleyball to the water to swim and play water polo. Guest Bio - Mar is a movement teacher of many types: yoga, barre, pilates for all ages and many demographics. Growing up in the sports world with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis has given her a different perspective on overcoming injuries and illnesses to continue celebrating one's body. Along with growing up playing volleyball, swimming, and water polo in high school she also obtained a degree in public health and worked on the medical staff for the University of Arizona football team. Her love of sports and healing led her to yoga where she's been able to work with so many beautiful souls and bodies.
